My Story
Chef, Artist and Teacher
My parents were both theater majors. My grandfather was on Broadway. My grandmother is a prolific painter and mixed media artist. As long as I can remember, I've found great peace in singing and drumming. When I was 11, I took my grandfather's handwritten recipes and made a Thanksgiving feast for my hardworking mom. She still raves about it over two decades later, and the feeling of loving pride I had after that meal carried me through a long, tough, rewarding culinary career. I had a fantastic drum teacher, Ken Dalluge, throughout my teens whose wisdom and patience I will forever strive to emulate. In college, I was part of several renowned choral groups and toured around the Mediterranean singing in cathedrals. I've worked with and learned from truly amazing musicians.
I helped open taco trucks and upscale steakhouses. I catered weddings and anniversaries. I worked at Nobu in Malibu and turned down a job offer at Stone Barns in New York. I discovered the restaurant life is not for me, but my love of cooking is forever.
In 2023, I moved to Tempe, Arizona. I am the Community Arts Coordinator at Tempe Bouldering Project, a gorgeous, inclusive climbing and lifestyle gym. I support the local community through outreach, activism, event planning and most importantly the arts. In my free time, I love climbing, painting/drawing, teaching myself piano, backpacking, and cuddling the animals at the local shelter. I am excited to meet you so we can begin learning from one another.
