Frequently Asked Questions
For Your Information
Here are some frequently asked questions that I tend to receive. If you still have something you’d like to know, feel free to contact me for more details and I will do my best to help you get all the information you need.
Your prices suck! Can I pay you less?
Yes! In an effort to make my services accessible to as many folks as possible, I can offer a sliding scale on a case-by-case basis. If you like everything you see except the dollar signs, please contact me! Let's see if we can work something out.
Do I need any equipment before I start taking lessons?
I am fully equipped to provide lessons at my home. If you are interested in lessons at your own home, yes, you do need to provide the equipment. (drum set or basic kitchen equipment)
Also, lessons are most effective if you do the homework in between. For drum lessons, a pair of sticks and a practice pad are sufficient for a while. Voice students greatly benefit from access to a keyboard and basic voice recording hardware. (aka a phone) Culinary students should have access to a full kitchen, a sharp knife and some pots, pans and plates.
Do you offer group lessons?
Of course! I can arrange guided drum circles, teach small music groups the basics of dynamics, trading comp and blend, or teach cooking to groups as large as 6.
Generally speaking, I am excited to entertain ideas.
